Podiatrists - Clinical Associates
The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy, is seeking full-time podiatrists for appointment as Clinical Associate for renewable terms of up to two years. These positions are oriented toward a clinical practice with primary focus in diagnosing, treating and prescribing treatment for foot, ankle, and other related structures. A strong focus in diabetic foot care, wound management, and limb salvage is preferred. Clinical responsibilities will primarily take place at off-site locations including Ingalls Memorial Hospital and in South Holland and Tinley Park. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent in podiatric medicine, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed a post-graduate podiatric medicine and surgery residency approved by the Council of Podiatric Medical Education, and 4) be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Surgery (or equivalent).
